Twin Bomb Rocks Madagali Market In Adamawa


Twin bomb explosions have  reportedly killed 10 people at a Madagali market, in Adamawa State. It was gathered that two suspected female suicide bombers detonated the bombs which exploded at the grains section of the market Friday morning.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Coordinator in charge of Adamawa and Taraba, Mr Sa’ad Bello, has confirmed the bomb blasts.

The Chairman of Madagali Local Government, Yusuf Muhammad, who confirmed the incident to newsmen called on Federal Government to deploy soldiers to the surrounding areas where he said Boko Haram insurgents set up camps.

Mr. Yusuf, described the attack as set back, to relative peace enjoyed by residents who  resumed normal commercial and social activities following successful military operations.

A resident of Madagali, who simply identified himself as Hamma, said many people were affected as the blasts occurred around the busy areas of the market. “You know today is our market day. I just pray God to minimize the casualty,” Hamma said.
