Kenny Blaq is from Lagos, Nigeria. He is a twin and was born alongside his twin sister Taiwo Otolorin in Ejigbo, Lagos. Kehinde who is the youngest child comes from a large family as his mother birthed twins twice. He did not have a rosy childhood as his parents struggled to put him and his siblings in school.

Reports have it that he wrote his West African Senior School Certificate Examination in a tutorial center because his parents could not afford to pay double school fees at once as his school had required. Shortly after school, Kenny Blaq joined the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) training school in Lagos where he trained as a presenter and MC. But this was his passion and he was determined to become the best; Kenny Blaq would constantly assure his parents that their fears were not going to come to pass.
