Following his hospitalization for sleep deprivation, a source revealed the African-American Rapper Kanye West “feels he’s under spiritual attack.”
39-year-old Kanye West who was supposed to be on a music tour had to cancel the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo tour – his latest 2016 music album, to get some medical help under the advice of his doctor. Many were concerned about his mental health after he ranted about Beyoncé, Jay Z and Hilary Clinton.
Recall that the rapper had also hinted on his support for newly elected US President, Donald Trump when he quoted: “I would have voted for Trump. Speaking to the PEOPLE, the source said:
“He (Kanye West) feels like he’s under spiritual attack, and has been for awhile. It’s not just the big things; it’s smaller, quieter things, internal things. You might think that it’s about Kim’s robbery, and while that didn’t help, that’s not what’s going on here. He’s dealing with a lot more subtle issues.”
According to the source, West also bears an internal pain since the demise of his mother in November 2007 at the age of 58. The source continued:
“He feels like it’s a trying time for his spirit, but that can be a good thing. He isn’t one to run away from these things. He leans in and listens, and comes away a stronger, better man. But it hurts him; his spirit is vexed. But that’s where growth comes from.
“Sometimes, darkness creeps in, and Kanye wrestles against it. He talks about that a lot. It’s exhausting, and it takes everything he’s got. He’s just so tired now; he’s very low energy and feels like there’s a grieving in his spirit. It’s very hard to explain, but something has happened recently, where he’s not the ‘Yeez’ that everyone knows.”
Meanwhile, his wife Kim Kardashian had rushed to support her husband on Monday after she was alerted that he had been hospitalized.
Kanye was taken to a Los Angeles hospital in an ambulance after the police received a medical welfare call suggesting the father of two was acting erratically. He is reportedly under observation for sleep deprivation and will undoubtedly get back on track.
