Nigeria Losses Another Entertainer, Felix Ochuko AKA Atol-Atol


The Nigerian entertainment industry has lost another star, Felix Ochuko, also known as Atol-Atol.

According to a statement released yesterday, 14th June, the comedian cum radio presenter died on Monday, June 13, 2016, after a brief battle with his health.

This great loss happened less than 24 hours before Nigerian ace producer and singer, OJB Jezreel died.

OJB’s death was a big blow to the country, as it is still recovering from the loss of two Super Eagles coaches. Although Felix Ochuko is not as popular as his colleague in the comedy world, he has made an impact in his immediate sphere.

The management of the FM station, where Felix Ochuko worked, disclosed a statement which read;

“With heavy hearts, we at Rainbow 94.1FM announce the death of our colleague, friend, and brother, Ochuko Felix AKA Atol-Atol. He passed on yesterday, June 13, 2016 after a brief illness.

“Ochuko Felix anchored ‘Fresh Sharp-Sharp Tori’ and ‘E-Concern Me’ on Rainbow 94.1FM and was outstanding as an On Air Personality and M.C. For us at Rainbow 94.1FM, we take solace in the knowledge that he left bold impressions in the sands of time and contributed immensely to the beauty of our Rainbow.

“We appreciate the condolences from members of the public and as we continue to sympathise with the Ochuko family during this trying time, we pray for the repose of his gentle soul.”

Until Ochuko’s death, he worked with Rainbow FM Lagos as a “stand up” comedian and event host. He was a former president of House Of Talk, Aaua Chapter and former president of Mass Communication Department, AAUA.

He attended Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State and members of his alumni, among other people, express shock at the news of his demise.

According to his former colleague, Opeyemi Akinyode, Felix Ochuko was also called ‘Mr. Perfect,’ due to his nature of always wanting to keep people’s spirit up.
