Arsenal ended their Week 25 game against Hull City 2-0 with a double from striker Alexis Sanchez easing the pressure on coach Arsene Wenger.
Sanchez scored a controversial opener and a late penalty as Arsenal picked up their first win in three matches.
The Chile international in the 34th minute turned an Eldin Jakupovic’s goal-line clearance into the back of the net.
At stoppage time, Sanchez again converted a penalty after Sam Clucas’ handball prevented Lucas Perez’s header.
The Chilean was the Man of the Match.
United in their 16 match unbeaten run got their two goals from Anthony Martial and Juan Mata.
Mata scored the first goal and Martial made it two as Manchester United beat Watford to stretch their unbeaten league run.
Their current 16-match unbeaten run is he longest United has had since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
The first half was all United and only Heurelho Gomes’s saves and poor finishing could stop them from taking an early lead.
Mata opened the score sheet in the 32nd minute when he turned in Martial’s cross from close range.
Mauro Zarate forced David De Gea to save his 25-yard free-kick after the break but it was brief respite for Watford.
Martial doubled United’s lead in the 60th minute when he took a pass from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, cut in from the left and struck home to give United their 2,000th Premier League point.

Liverpool ended their five-match winless run with victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Sadio Mane scored twice with a blistering first-half display for Liverpool.
The winger, who had missed most of January on Africa Cup of Nations duty, opened the scoring in the 16th minute.
Mane finished Georginio Wijnaldum’s sumptuous through-ball to net Liverpool’s opener.
138 seconds later, Mane made it two, snatching a ball from Eric Dier before finishing after Hugo Lloris had saved twice.
Liverpool missed a number of chances to extend the scoreline in the first half, although Spurs’ also missed a shot as well.
Liverpool’s first league win of 2017 puts them on 49 points, within one of Spurs, who remain second.
The game ended at full time Liverpool 2, Tottenham Hotspur 0.
