Hollywood Empire Star, Cookie Lyon Wants To Be A Man


Cookie Lyon, played by Taraji P Henson, is the most interesting character in the TV series Empire, to most people.

The no-nonsense lady, who has a hot body to kill for, says she wants to be a man. Not in her sexual orientation though, but in a movie role. Taraji P Henson cum Cookie Lyon  says she wants to play masculine roles that will challenge her creativity.

For those who haven’t seen any of the Empire seasons, please do and watch out for the ex-wife of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) and mother of his three sons, who served a 17-year stretch in prison for drug dealing.

Last year, the entertaining character was named the most influential fictional character by Time Magazine. This year, her role in the series gets even interesting as her ex-husband, Lucious Lyon re-marries.

Recently, Taraji P Henson played NASA mathematician, Katherine Johnson in upcoming autobiography ‘Hidden Figures.’

Also, the 45-year-old graces the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine, where she talks about “Empire,” “Cookie,” and the personalities she would love to portray in other movies.

On personalities, she said:

“I haven’t played a superhero yet, I haven’t played a psycho character yet. I want to play a man, like I want to really disappear. I have so much to do.”

On Cookie, she said; “Cookie has all kinds of fans, all. She’s my alter ego — we all need a Sasha Fierce.”

Taraji won the “Best Actress in a TV series” at the 2016 Golden Globes Awards, beating Outlander‘s Caitriona Balfe, How to Get Away With Murder‘s Viola Davis, Penny Dreadful‘s Eva Green, and House of Cards‘ Robin Wright.
