All round best player and Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo sings his praises for coach Zinedine Zidane as the Real’s forward received an award for the 2015/16 best Champions League best player, voted by Spanish and Italian sports papers MARCA and Gazzetta Dello Sport.
During his interview with MARCA on Thursday, October 13, the strike said:
“He (Zidane) knows Real Madrid well which is a plus, but he also listens, which is a big advantage. Zizou is calm, very professional, and likes to work.”
“Zidane was a former player and knows the club well,” the winger stated.”He also knows the players from when he was Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant coach.
CR7 scored 16 goals (and 51 in all competitions) to cement his status and help Real claim an 11th European Cup/Champions League title, which together with his country’s triumph at Euro 2016, also makes him favourite to reclaim the Ballon d’Or.

“To be honest, I was confident,” he said. I knew it was the most decisive penalty and I had to score it.
“Though 16 goals is a lot to try and beat, my goal is to always become a better player and I’m motivated because there are still things I need to work on,” he said.
“I’ve won the Champions League and the Euros, it’s a beautiful moment in my career and my sporting life,” he told Journalist at the AC Hotel La Finca in Madrid.
The 31 year old also told the media that a club of Real Madrid’s stature can’t go so long without winning LaLiga. Ronaldo revealed he wishes to remain at Real Madrid for years to come.
“It just makes me want to keep working hard for this club. I hope to remain at Real Madrid for years to come. This is the club I love.”
