Adekunle Gold Reveals Title of Debut Album and Cover Art


One of the finest of YBNL artistes, Adekunle Gold has revealed the name of his debut album alongside its artwork. The “Orente” singer will be dropping his album in July and he calls it “Gold.”

As expected, the graphic image of his debut LP was done with metal gold which depicts the richness of his sound as well as the meaning of his name.

Meanwhile, in an earlier phone interview with Now O’ Clock podcast, the singer made it known that he would be pushing his debut album release date until early July after the Ramadan season which is expected to last from June 6, 2016 to July 5, 2016. He tweeted:

“I am pushing it forward a bit because of Ramadan, it was supposed to drop for June 1 before, but apparently it occurred to me that my muslim friends don’t listen to music during Ramadan, so it makes sense to push it forward because of them as well, so by God’s grace in July after Ramadan, and all of us can enjoy it together,” the singer said.

Mr. Adejunle Gold also talked about the dynamics involved in creating the album and how he handles criticisms from friends and fans. Gold also revealed his target audience, the artistes that inspire his works, as well as some international  acts  he would love to collaborate with.

According to reports, Adekunle Gold may be leaving YBNL just like Lil Kesh after the release of his album. Until then he remains fully committed to Olamide’s management whose platform has brought him fame.

So far, Adekunle Gold has made some nice songs. They include ‘Sade’, ‘Pick up’ and ‘Orente,’ which will guarantee sales of his forthcoming album.

The gifted singer and graphic designer revealed also that the album was a collaborative effort of producers like Oscar, SeyiKeys, B.Banks and Pheelz. He added that most of the songs will be mixed and mastered by Simi, who also has songwriting credits on the album.
