Following a new song release on Thursday, 14th July, featuring Cynthia Morgan and Yung6ix, the female act says that the song was purposely leaked by Yung6ix and his team without her consent.
According to her, the song was unfinished and her verse needed to be worked on. She took to Instagram to air her disappointment, stating that Yung6ix or his team now have a problem with her.
“When you think you can leak a record with an unfinished freestyled verse from me…without my consent??? In as much as I would like my fans to disregard this record. I know this will even give it more buzz.
“I am very particular about the craft I put out and my fans doesn’t deserve this unfinished product. And for the fact that I even reached out to you that this verse be completed after you hit me up for video even makes it worse. Now you @Yung6ix or your team got a problem with me brov. #bless.”
Yung6ix is yet to comment on the issue. Born as Onome Onokohwomo, the 27-year old hip-hop artiste, who just celebrated his birthday on 8th July, has been in the music scene since 2009. However, he came into limelight after his cover version of Ice Prince’s Oleku went viral on the internet.
He later released songs like ‘Oh My Gosh,’ which earned him both “Lyricist on the Roll” and “Best Rap Single” nominations at the Headies Awards the following year.
So far Yung6ix has done a few collaborations, including one with Wizkid ‘Follow Me,’ a track from his debut studio album.
Unfortunately, his first project with the ‘Baby Mama’ singer Cynthia Morgan, has attracted a little beef for the young artiste. Meanwhile, the unfinished product is titled ‘Shabba’ and was produced by Disally.
