Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, is currently in L.A ahead of the BET Awards scheduled to hold this Sunday 26th June. However, she plans to release a dance video today, 22nd June, for her afro-pop song Koffi Anan.
Koffi Anan was a bonus track on Yemi Alade’s sophomore album and according to the songstress, the song was recorded in one take as a freestyle. Surprisingly, the unplanned Koffi Anan, which was produced by Philkeyz, has become a hit and is gaining massive airplay across Africa. Obviously, the self-proclaimed Queen of Queens is enjoying the peak of her career and that is a great achievement for her.
The last music visual released by the singer was the ‘Kom Kom’ which featured Flavour N’abania. Kom Kom attracted 1 million views in less than a month due to the quality of the song and the hype around the artiste.
Yemi Alade plans to make videos for every track on her “Mama Africa” album. She is currently the most viewed African female act of all time, with over 80 million views on YouTube/Vevo to her credit.
Last Month, Yemi Alade was on set with Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, for the shoot of another music video. Recall that Alexx was featured in Yemi Alade’s Jonny and Tangerine videos. Alexx, for the third time, plays the role of Yemi’s lover in her new song titled ‘Marry Me.’ Marry me was produced by Nigerian hit maker, Selebobo and the music video will be ready for release soon.
Meanwhile, Yemi Alade was nominated for ‘Best International Act: Africa’ at the 2016 BET Awards. All the best to her at the awards coming up this weekend.
