It was real life horror when a Winners Chapel pastor (Living Faith Church) Adeniyi John, was caught by a mob on Wednesday with pieces of fried meat suspected to be human parts.
According to This Day, the carnivorous pastor who was caught at Ijomu area of Akure metropolis of Ondo State, was also alleged to be in possession of some fetish items, kept inside his bag.
An eye witness said the middle aged Winners Chapel pastor shocked the people in the area when he brought out pieces of fried meat from his bag, spread them in a tray and started calling people to come eat with him. The pastor’s invitation made people around suspicious and they began to shout “eran eyan ni, eran eyan ni” which translates to mean “It is human meat, it is human meat, they have started again”.

Some people suggested jungle justice for him on the basis of his action and the fetish items on him, while others pleaded that he should be taken to the Deji’s palace to explain his mission with the meat.
An uncontrollable crowd that had gathered by insisted that the man should be lynched but the man begged that he had just been transferred to Ipogun in Ifedore Local Government Area branch of the church from Iju/ Ita-ogbolu in Akure North Local Government.
Amidst confusion following the increasing crowd, the Winners Chapel pastor was moved to the palace of Deji of Akure, where he was interrogated by chiefs at the palace. In the process, he explained that he was divinely instructed to go and share the meat to save his dying son.
He appealed to the people to allow him to go and continue what he called his end time mission based on revelation from God. He was thereafter taken away to the area command headquarters of the Ondo state police command for further interrogation.
A senior pastor at the State Headquarters of the Living Faith Church in Akure who craved anonymity said Johnson was sacked as a Pastor of one of its local branches about a month ago to allow his family treat him after showing signs of insanity.
Also a senior officer at the Police Area Command, Akure, who spoke under the condition of anonymity confirmed that some pastors from the church have come to attest that pastor Johnson has mental issues. The officer said the police is now awaiting his family to come with his medical record on his mental state to know the next line of action.
