Governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, has been served a condition by some Anambra lawmakers in order to support his re-election campaign.

Some of the Anambra State House of Assembly members are demanding that Willie Obiano must give each of them a Prado SUV if he wants their support.

While accusing the governor of neglecting the legislature, the lawmakers spearheaded by the Minority Leader in the House, Mr. Onyebuchi Offor, described the condition of service at the State House of Assembly as deplorable.

Backing up Mr. Offor’s claim, some other lawmakers accused the governor of continually failing to recognize the lawmakers in terms of bettering their condition of service.

The lawmakers vowed not to allow Gov. Obiano continue with such menace and compared their welfare packages to that of other colleagues in other states. They also questioned what the state’s N1.2 billion monthly security vote is used for.

They therefore, demanded that Gov.Obiano improves their condition of service and provide them with Prado Jeeps, or suffer their wrath during his re-election campaign.

However, Speaker of the Assembly, Mrs. Rita Maduagwu, insisted that the Assembly’s support for the governor was unconditional.

According to Maduagwu, the harmonious relationship between the executive and the other arms of government will make for steady progress in Anambra State while still maintaining the principles of checks and balances.

She said those expecting that the executive and the legislature in Anambra will be at war will be disappointed, as they will continue to work in synergy with the executive and deliver Governor Obiano for a second tenure.
