Afro-beat musician, Seun Kuti, also son of late Afro-beat music icon, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has unveiled a new artiste signed to his record label, Black Haus Music. The artiste is the first act to be signed to the music label of the renowned musician and he goes by the name “Juggernaut.”
According to sources, Juggernaut says the contract has been long over due. He said they were supposed to have done the unveiling since 2014, but unfortunately, he was involved in a car accident which almost took his life. He was trapped in the car for close to four hours before someone found him and brought him out. The lucky artist survived but with a broken leg. He needed time heal before the project commenced. Thus the reason for the ” late” unveiling.
Juggernaut has aleady released his first official single, Obirin Asiko, alongside its video under Seun Kuti’s label. He is currently working on bringing out some other songs in a couple of weeks. Obirin Asiko was produced by the son of popular Nollywood actress, Shan George, who goes by the name Jagaclyde. The young talented rapper cum music producer had done some seemingly nice productions for his mother as well. Meanwhile, Juggernaut’s video was shot by Cam World Films.
Born as Demilade Egbeolu, Juggernaut has been in the Nigerian music industry for about eight years now. He was one of the members of the defunct 3-man music group, TRIPLE X, which included May D and Loadz. The now Black House Music act claims he has loads of songs ready and his label will be focusing on releasing several music videos before the year runs out.
“We still have a lot of videos to put out this year. I have loads of songs that I have recorded. I have two albums ready. All these while I was in the hospital, and all the while I was in the house trying to recover, I was doing stuffs,” he said.
