There are times in life when you just don’t feel yourself. All you feel like doing is giving up. It is normal to feel that way, it happens to every hard working individual. Everything seems to be taking a down turn – career, relationship, finance even inspiration. At these low times, it even becomes difficult to pay attention to yourself and environment as the only thing that occupies your mind is how to, or not to “Give Up.”
It takes a very strong willed individual to think past giving up to actually succeeding and the fact is “just when you give up, help comes.” No one says success would come easy, it requires consistency and determination. So when next those silly thoughts of quitting comes to mind, these reasons below will push them away and remind you that as long as air is in supply, You Can Make It. Here are the reasons why you shouldn’t give up.
1. You Didn’t Come This Far Just to Give Up
I bet there are times when you almost gave up but didn’t. Something held you back . . . that’s the same thing you should live for. You have come this far and it’s too late to give up.
2. Failure Is Normal
Sometimes failure is necessary to help you retrace your steps, learn from your mistakes and forge ahead. When you fail, you find another way of achieving that feat and that move improves your creativity. Failure is a natural process and if you do not pass through its dark phase you may not be able to fully appreciate success when it is finally earned.
3. Your Dreams Are Achievable
When you give up, you give up on yourself, your dreams and everyone who ever believed in you. No matter how big your dreams are, you can turn them to reality and in time they will come to pass if you hold on to it.
4. Success Feels Great
There is no better feeling in this world other than knowing that you came, you saw and conquered failure. Like sweet smelling savour, success makes the heart merry, brightens the mood of even the saddest person and of course takes care of bills for good.
5. Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day
This is the most important saying to remember when giving up becomes a legitimate thought. Nobody can create an empire in a day; no business can become a multi-billion-dollar venture in one day, and no idea is worth throwing in the garbage if all the stops haven’t been pulled out yet. Your little drops of water will become an ocean one day. Consistency will eventually pay off someday.
6. It’s Always The Darkest Before Dawn
Understand that the hardest trials are the ones that come right before the breakthrough. So stay persistent because at any given moment you are at the tipping point and success awaits you.
Benjamin Franklin almost gave up on electricity, but he didn’t because he knew his calculations were right and breakthrough was sure.
7. You Don’t Want To Regret
The worse thing that can happen to anyone after giving up, is finding that success was just an inch away. Don’t put yourself in that position, keep working on that thought, project and brand . . . there’s always light at the end if the tunnel. Even Thomas Edison knew that.
8. You Are Alive And You Can
As long as there is life there is hope. Anything is possible. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. People may laugh at your dreams, never mind the things they call “foolish” will end up making sense. Don’t let anything stop you from achieving your goal. Giving up is not an option.
