It was chaotic on Saturday, October 29, at Berger bus stop, Lagos State, after an alleged policeman, stabbed a motor park tout to death following a feud.
Report from our correspondent said, the policeman was among passengers seated inside a 14-seater bus coming from Oyo State, while the deceased was identified simply as Ahmed.

The story was narrated by witness who said that one of Ahmed’s friends had stopped the bus with the inscription, Success Express, and demanded N100 from the driver, who reportedly declined to pay the money.
An argument broke out between the bus driver and the park tout, who firmly refuse to give way for the bus continue on its route.
In the ensuing argument, the policeman, who was at the front seat, reportedly got off from the bus.
BuzzNigeria learnt that the victim, Ahmed had appeared at the scene from the sideline to know what transpired. But an anonymous eyewitness said:
“But the policeman suddenly brought out a very sharp knife and stabbed him (Ahmed) in the stomach. He held the policeman for a while and slumped. He stood up, staggered and slumped again.”
Ahmed was reportedly taken in the bus to the Lagos State Accident and Emergency Centre at the Ojota Tollgate, where he was confirmed dead on arrival. One of the deceased friend simply called Agberoko said the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) at the bus stop released tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd who intercepted the killer officer and rescue him from angry crowd.
Meanwhile, Ahmed’s corpse was returned to the bus park where his friends and peers went violent, hurling stones at the RRS’ as the operatives drove off from the scene.
A nearby trader Taibat Adejare, who was in tears, described Ahmed as being more decent than his counterparts. She said the deceased met his demise 1 hour after he showed up at the park. Adejare said.
“He just came out around 4pm today (Saturday). He ate a snack with a bottle of drink. It was about an hour after he came out that the incident happened. He was very peaceful and jovial. He didn’ force drivers to pay. The policeman stabbed him with a poisonous knife.”
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, claimed the suspect who’s been arrested is not a policeman, adding that the corpse had been deposited in a morgue.
