The actress became famous in the entertainment industry as a result of how well she mastered the art of portraying the wickedness of mother in-laws and step-mothers.
It was earlier reported that Ozokwor had become born again, preaching in various churches and crusades. The actress, though never denied her new found faith, said she is still an actress and will always remain one. The name ‘Mama G’ as she said, was given to her by her fans and she has no intention of doing away with it.
She made this disclosure in a video which was shared by her fellow actress Ejiro Okurame on her Facebook page with the introductory text, “She neva granted any interview dats she shouldn’t be cald MAMA G or she has dumped Nollywood…She’s still Mama G…She’s still very much an actress…she’s only now a Preacher of Christ…#CEO”
The movie star was seen in the video saying:
“I still make movies, I am an actress and I have not changed my name. You people gave me Mama G, I will answer it because I am making movies for you. You are my fans, you dictate what I do. I love you all because you first loved me. Please, I am still Mama G, G for General and I am still and actress. I am still your mentor Patience Ozokwor, G for General”.
Recall that Starttells had reported it was granted an interview by Patience Ozokwor after they caught up with her at a crusade organised by St. Marks Anglican Church in Eziobodo Village of Imo State, where she shared her salvation experience. The news outfit reported that in the course of the interaction, the Nollywood icon had disclosed her new mode of dressing as instructed by God- no more make-up, trousers, dreadlocks and even her popular name Mama G.
