Furious Tweets: Enraged Nigerians Deliver Their Speech To Buhari

While President Buhari has been making a lot of foreign trips, Nigerians took to twitter to pour out their anger. Of course they are not necessarily furious that the President has gone to different countries within the last few months of his tenure including visiting neighboring countries to strengthen the multi-national fight against Boko Haram in the first month of his tenure, his visit to United States of America – twice, France, India and he just yesterday got back from the oil and gas summit in Iran and is heading to Malta today. They are  specifically annoyed because of the condition of the country.

The current critical point of the Nigerian economy which is fuel scarcity has sparked different side comments and remarks from angry citizens. Many people feel things are getting even worse than they were and so they need to speak up concerning that. Well, there is certainly no other platform that would get the job of being heard more perfectly done than the social media. So angry Nigerians  have taken to the social media to write to President Muhammadu Buhari on the need for him to address the various problems in the country as soon as possible.

Nigerians through the trending hash tag #OpenLetterToMrPresident# addressed Buhari asking him to quickly take steps to reduce the recent hardship. Here are some of their recommendatory tweets.

That notwithstanding, The All Progressives Congress which is the ruling party has replied Nigerians stating that the party is well-informed of the present hardship in the country especially the current fuel scarcity.

According to the party: “Let’s be a little more patient with the new cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. Most importantly, be assured that this government will surely deliver!

“Nothing good comes cheap. Sacrifices are required. By the time we pass through the foundation stage, Nigerians will see a new Nigeria!”
