Ciara to Perform in Nigeria At Darey’s “Love Like A Movie” Concert


Grammy award winning American singer/hip hop dancer, Ciara Princess Harris, will be in Nigeria this February to grace the annual musical concert of Nigerian music crooner, Darey Art Alade. The third edition of Darey’s concert, “Love Like a Movie,” is scheduled to hold on February 28, 2016. “Love Like A Movie” has recorded two huge successful editions in 2013 and 2014 that featured global superstars, Kim Kardashian and Kelly Rowland. However, due to the electoral state of the nation in 2015, the show didn’t hold last year, but is coming back bigger and stronger this year with the talented sassy, Ciara.

The 30-year old American songwriter, is also a record producer, actress and fashion model. Ciara was born in Texas, she moved around while growing up and settled in Georgia for a while, where she joined a Girl group called, “Hearsay.” She later went solo after having girly and management issues with her group. In 2002, Ciara met music producer, Jazze Pha, who linked her up for a record deal with LaFace Records.

She has six albums to her name, Goodies (2004), Ciara: The Evolution (2006), Fantasy Ride (2009), Basic Instinct (2010), Ciara (2013) and Jackie (2015). She has also featured in several movies including, All You’ve Got (2006), Mama, I Want to Sing (2012) and That’s My Boy (2012). Currently, she has a child for her spouse, Russell Wilson, although they are yet to tie the knots.


“Love Like A Movie” Concert will hold at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Aside Ciara who is front-lining the show, Nigeria’s finest artistes would be performing as well. They include Yemi Alade, Adekunle Gold, Iyanya, Sound Sultan, Zaina, Omawumi, Sammy, Olamide, Vector, Kaffy, Simi, Tolu, Blackky, Styl Plus, Jazzman Olofin, Weird MC, Kenny Black and many more.
