Lizzy Gold’s Childhood and Family Background

Elizabeth Onuwaje, better known as Lizzy Gold was born on 16 October 1987 and raised in Warri-South, Delta State. She was born into a Christian home. Her mother is a businesswoman whose business worth N10 million was razed by fire in 2018. She is also an evangelist, belonging to the Anglican church.

The 5 feet 9 inches model received her basic education in Delta. Going further, she graduated from the Department of Information Science, Delta State University. Thirsty for more knowledge, Lizzy Gold decided to attend the 2012 acting classes at Royal Arts Academy in Lagos. The acting training lasted 3 months under the tutelage of Emem Isong and provided a gateway o Lizzy into the Nollywood movie industry.

At age 19, Lizzy decided to compete in the 2006 Miss Delta Beauty Pageant. At the end of the show, she emerged winner. In 2007, she took part in one of the largest modeling shows in Africa, the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageantry organized by Silverbird TV. She came out among the top ten final contestants in the competition. She also took part in Miss Earth pageant along the line as well as a few other beauty pageantries.

In her later years, she pushed herself to explore the aspect of acting and officially came into Nollywood in December 2013. In her early years in the industry, quite a number of the roles she acted in were free. She had to go without pay as some movies were low-budget and did not sell. Her passion and hard work eventually outshone her lack of experience to become a highly sought-after actress.

Despite her growing success, her biggest hit came after she produced a movie which was directed by Yul Edochie called Princess Olivia in 2021. She has worked with producers like Uche Nancy who was the first producer she had ever worked with.

Is Lizzy Gold Married?

Lizzy Gold is not married. In fact, since her entrance into the movie industry and over several interviews, the actress has claimed not to be interested in marriage. As she claims, she is supposedly wary of relationships and cannot give up her job until she is in her late 30s or 40s.
