Nazo is an Indigene of Anambra State

Chinazorom Ekezie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ekezie. She is Igbo by tribe and hails from Ozubulu in Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra state, south-east Nigeria. While not much has been revealed about her parents and siblings, the actress has revealed that she is the second of four children born to her parents and that she has a younger sister and two brothers one of which is older than her.

Nazo’s mother’s name is Eucharia Ekezie. Her parents are still alive and have achieved success in their career fields, as well as in raising their children.

 

Academic-wise the beautiful actress had all her schooling in Southeastern Nigeria – she attended Federal Government Girls College Leija located in Nsukka local government area of Enugu state. She also attended Ebonyi State University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in English and Linguistics.

How Nazo Ekezie Began Her Acting Career

Nazo has always been passionate about acting since childhood and while growing up, she made herself available for various drama groups both at school and at church. While in her second year at the University, Nazo would travel to Asaba just to watch professional actors perform their roles. However, she could not make up her mind to pursue acting as a career until a few years after graduating from the University.

Nazo’s professional career in acting began sometime in 2011 when she played a role in a movie titled “Thanks for Coming.”  The movie, which was produced by Uche Nancy, also has top-celebrated actors like Mercy Johnson, Yul Edochie, Jibola Dabor, Angela Okorie, Chinyere Wilfred, Walter Anga, Odera Arinze, and Mary Uranta.

Upon gaining recognition in the film industry, Nazo received more movie roles which helped to announce her further into the industry. Some of the movies she appeared in during her early acting years include “Somewhere In Africa,” “Bridal Shower,” and “Assassins” alongside the likes of Mike Ezuruonye and Chacha Eke.

 

Growing further in the industry, Nazo Ekezie began to develop a passion for filmmaking. She then established her own film production company called Unoaku Production Nazo Ekezie Company and produced her first movie, “Flawed” in 2018.

Nazo’s “Flawed” was shot at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, with a production fee of about ten million naira. She starred in the movie alongside great Nollywood actors like Mofe Duncan, Bolaji Ogunmola, Ebelle Okaro, and Chris Akwarandu.

33 years old Nazo Ekezie is not yet married to anyone as a husband. Although she had earlier aired out her desire to start a relationship, she is yet to officially get hooked up in a relationship with anyone as a boyfriend.

Nazo is a humorous and fun-loving person. The beautiful, plus-size ebony actress had previously indicated an interest in Mavins Record boss Don Jazzy by sharing his photo on Instagram and seeking his approval to go on a date with him. She wrote:

Meanwhile, the actress had, in an interview with an online news media, related her preferred kind of man, saying he must be someone who listens, who is God-fearing, patient, and trust her regardless of what news he’s heard about her in the media. Nazo also noted that she is ready to fall in love with anyone who is not enticed by her fame, someone who would love her not as an actress but as Nazo.

The actress had recently raised some eyebrows when she stated on her Instagram page that she had no business with poor men. She further noted that she was not looking for a man she would invest in. She said she would instead invest the energy to invest in herself.
