Lilian Esoro is of Igbo ethnicity and precisely from Imo State in South-Eastern Nigeria. She is the last among seven children born to her parents. The only sibling we have identified for now is an elder brother named Uche Esoro, who is a building contractor and the CEO of Duchis Dredging & Construction Limited.

Born on the 9th day of March 1982 and now aged 42, the actress ventured into acting when she was 23 years old. She had her primary and secondary education in Lagos. Its subsidiaries include Lioca Spa (a beauty, cosmetic and personal care brand involved in the sale of hair weaves, nails, and cosmetics; Lioca Skincare (a retail store for skin products and treatments) and a retail clothing line called Abaya by Lioca, dealing exclusively on the sale of abayas.

She is also the pioneer and founder of the Lilian Esoro Foundation (LEF), an organization aimed at “changing the negative narratives of all African women” through freewill donations to indigent and less privileged members of society. Lilian Esoro got married to an entrepreneur, public speaker, business coach, and founder of Made Men Music Group (Triple MG), Ubi Franklin Ofem on the 1st of November, 2015. However, the couple separated in October of the following year and began proceedings for divorce, but it was not until February 2021 that the marriage was officially dissolved by the High Court.

At first, in 2019, the Federal High Court sitting in Ikeja dismissed their divorce petition, holding that the grounds for the petition were “invalid.” The Judge further advised the parties to “go home and work on their differences.” But on January 28, 2021, the Abuja High Court granted the long-sought decree for dissolution of the marriage, making the divorce official. Lilian has been silent on reasons for the divorce; however, she stated that she has remained good friends with her ex-husband. Ubi, on the other hand, said that the marriage had been “shaky from the start.”

They both have a son named Jayden Ekapong, born in 2016. Although they jointly provide for him, Lilian has custody of the child. Once, there were speculations that the actress was in a relationship with Super Eagles player, Kenneth Omeruo. She, however, cleared the air, describing their relationship as “cordial.”
