In 1996, during her years as an undergraduate at the University of Lagos, she heeded the advice of her sister’s friend and enrolled in the Ara Osan theatre group owned by Rasaq Ajao, where she trained for about four years to become a professional actress before stepping into the industry proper.

The success of the movie helped her rise to fame and earned her a much deserving income that formed the foundation of her current net worth.

Expanding her acting career far beyond just Yoruba films, Bimbo featured in one of Wale Adenuga’s popular series, “Oh Father! Oh Daughter!”. In 2003, she produced her first movie titled Eji Owuro. The Yoruba romantic movie became one of the most-watched Yoruba movies at the time, and its soundtrack, which was written by Sola Allyson-Obaniyi, was later released in an album. The success of the movie was, in fact, behind Sola’s break into the limelight.

Bimbo has directed and produced more blockbuster Yoruba movies like Alangba, a Yoruba movie that also starred Dele Odule and Funsho Adeolu. Bimbo is also behind the making of the popular Yoruba movie Diamond.

Growing bigger in the industry, the actress landed in more best-selling movies like “Omo Elemosho,” directed by Adebayo Tijani and Kakanfo.
