Waje

Waje is a talented Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress. For her, W.A.J.E is an acronym for Words Aren’t Just Enough and in fact, if you have listened to one of this damsel’s rendition, you will also conclude that words aren’t just enough to properly describe the power and potential of Aituaje Iruobe’s vocals. Waje also means laughter in her native tongue.

Biography

Born on September 1, 1980, as Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. The family later relocated to Benin City in Edo State where she grew up. The songstress is of Igbo descent – her mother is from the south-east and was divorced from her father when Waje was still very young.
