The politician got married to Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha in 1987. However, before he met his long-term sweetheart, his father became ill and demanded that to see his daughter-in-law. So Rochas Okorocha set out the next day searching for a wife with a friend in a car. He first saw Nneoma on the roadside where she was picking tomatoes and told his friend that that was his wife and volunteered to help but was turned down, which made his friend laugh at him.
However, he still had a strong belief that Nneoma was his wife. The next day, he boarded a bus, and fortunately, his missing rib boarded the same bus, but he couldn’t initiate a conversation because she was with her sister.
