Prior to her marriage to Bishop Oyedepo, Faith was known as Miss. Florence Abiola Akano. Mrs. Faith Oyedepo made it to the spotlight as a result of her marriage to the distinguished man of God. Who Is Faith Abiola Oyedepo?
She was born Florence Abiola Akano on the 5th of February 1958 into the large family of Akano. Just like her husband Bishop David, mama Faith is a native of Kwara state, Nigeria. In her family, there are eight children and she is in the sixth position. Not much information is publicly available with regard to the members of her birth family. According to Mama Faith, she gave her life to Christ as a teenager in 1976.
Pastor Faith Abiola received her primary and secondary education in Kwara state. After that, she proceeded to get her tertiary education at the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife.
She Went Into Ministry Work Immediately After Her University Education
Mama Faith’s sojourn into the ministry began immediately after she graduated from the university. Asides from joining her husband’s ministry, she received a personal mandate for a ministry that seeks the welfare and needs of families and homes. She also received a divine call to cater to the lives of singles in an exceptional way, making her shoulders available for them.

Faith Has Been Bishop David Oyedopo’s Wife For 40 Years
Faith Oyedepo and renowned Nigerian gospel minister Bishop Oyedepo have been married for four decades. The couple met in 1976 while they were still undergraduates at the University of Ile Ife and Kwara State polytechnic respectively. Actually, their path crossed for the first time in a motor park and their relationship took off from that point. Pastor Faith was 18 years old at that time, their courtship lasted for six years and they eventually got married in 1982 when she was 24.
It was during their relationship that Bishop Oredepo received a mandate for Living Faith Church Worldwide. Given the intense nature of the mandate, he made a vow to God to surely carry out the vision no matter what it would cost him. He documented the vow, then, invited Mama Faith to a church, showed her the vow, and asked if she is still willing to go on the journey with him, she accepted and went on to sign the document.
Since then, the couple’s life and marriage have continued to be consumed with the desire to change the world through the preaching of the gospel. According to the couple, the secret to their 40-year-old marriage has been understanding, commitment to one another, love, laughter, and above all, commitment to raising godly seeds. Most significantly, their marriage has been void of controversies or scandals of any sort.

Their Union is Blessed with Four Children
Alongside having a blissful marriage, the power couple is parents to four lovely grown-up children produced from their long-lasting union. Their names are David Oyedepo Jnr. (born on 1st June 1983), Isaac Oyedepo (25th February 1985), Love (31st May 1987), Joyce (27th September 1992). Like their parents, Oyedepo’s children have followed in the path of preaching the word of faith.
Their first and second son, David and Isaac were ordained as pastors in May 2007 by Kenneth Copeland. David Jr. was a pastor at the London branch of Living Faith with his wife Kemi but is currently the resident pastor at the Church’s headquarters in Lagos (Faith Tabernacle). The 40-year-old is a graduate of Oral Roberts Univerity, USA, and a member of the Covenant University governing council.
Isaac Oyedepo is the second son of mama Faith and Bishop Oyedepo. Together with his wife Ayomitide, Isaac is the resident pastor of Winner’s Chapel International Maryland in the United States of America. He previously pastored at Living Faith Church in South Africa. Isaac and Ayomitide got married in December 2010 and the union has been blessed with two children.
Their first daughter and third child, Love is also into ministry as she is married to pastor Stephen Ogah who is a pastor in Winner’s Chapel. She is the pioneer of The Bloom Woman, an organization with the aim of helping women to maximize their full potential. Love graduated from Covenant University Ota.
Joyce is the second daughter and last child of the Oyedepos and is married to Abimbola Abodunrin in 2020. She studied at a university in the USA and is a writer and speaker. Joyce heads a foundation called “Women of the God Kind”
