Atiku has chosen to go with an all-star team of 19 legal minds made up of SANs, lawyers, and other legal practitioners. At the PDP campaign headquarters in Abuja, the former Vice President named his team of lawyers.

Why is Atiku Appearing in Court?

It was determined that Bola Tinubu, who was running as the candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged victorious in the presidential election that took place on February 25, 2022. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), announced the results in the early hours of Wednesday 29 February 2023. Not satisfied with the election result the Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi as well as PDP’s candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had laid claims that the election was fraudulently conducted and therefore, would seek redress via legal means.
