According to Lexi, Erick showed up in her apartment to “get his stuff.” She felt quite suspicious about the visit and decided to get herself prepared with the only thing she had, which was pepper spray.
Shortly, Erick began to beat her up, and she made the move to pepper spray him but unfortunately got some of it in her own eyes. While she was wiping her eyes, she managed to pick up her phone and dial 911, but at the same time, Erick smashed her head on a door handle, broke her cheekbone, and made a hole in her jaw.
Fortunately for her, the police had already gotten her call before Erick took the phone from her and smashed it so hard that it became unusable. The cops, along with the fire department, arrived a few minutes later, but Erick had already run out. However, he was eventually found and arrested while Orlove was taken to a hospital for treatment.
