Over the past fifteen years, Didi has dedicated her work to fighting for the rights and well-being of women and young girls around the world. The quest to achieve this was what drove her to found the Women and Girls Initiative in 2009.

The WGI, as it is commonly called, is a program whose main objective is the elimination of educational barriers for girls, and also to empower young girls and groom them into economically independent young women. Over the years, the program has worked together with local authorities and members of Partner In Health to empower thousands of girls in the world.
