He is an American national of Arab ethnicity.
Carl was raised in Atlanta by his parents who were allegedly public school teachers. Also in Atlanta, he received his basic and elementary education. After that, he proceeded to the University of Georgia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Arts.

A spokesperson for CNN reportedly told BuzzFeed News that Carl Azuz left CNN 10 due to a “personal decision.” Carl’s witty puns and perfect comic timing made the program, CNN 10, one of the highest-rated news shows of the time. For more than 14 years, he was a bright spot in the school day for millions of students as well as teachers.
He was known for educating with enthusiasm and humor, and the program is being streamed daily on YouTube. However, sadly for millions of his student-audience, when new episodes of CNN started around the end of 2022, they saw a new host instead of their favorite host, Carl. Anchor Coy Wire took Azuz’s place as the new show anchor.
Carl Azuz’s Disappearance From CNN 10 Was Noticed in September 2022
Carl last filed CNN 10 episode in May 2022 before the summer break, but his disappearance was first noticed in September. This development met his fans and audience with shock and panic, resulting to questions about what happened to him. Also, the fact that he left without any comment or explanation stirred many questions.
However, CNN on 18th September published a statement in the show’s newsletter announcing his departure; “We’re tremendously thankful to Carl for the years he contributed to CNN 10 and CNN as an institution”, the statement partly read. CNN further enjoined students, instructors, teachers, staff, and all devoted viewers of CNN 10 to offer him a heartfelt thank you. They conclusively wished him the best in his subsequent experience.
Yet, this seemed unsatisfying to many and they went on asking questions about what happened to him. Some even went to the extent of alleging that he might have passed away from cancer. On Twitter, some students and teachers were seen tweeting “We miss Carl Azuz”, “Carl Azuz not being on CNN10 is worse than the queen dying”, “shattered”, “devastated”, etc. According to some of them, Carl was always an inspiration, and watching his show was one of the best parts of their day.

Carl would later take to Twitter to tell his fans that he will no longer be part of the show where they meet, although he did not reveal the exact reason he left. He also debunked the rumors of his death and assured his fans that he is alive, well, and not retired.

There is currently no public knowledge about where exactly Carl Azuz is. But, what we know is that he is completely focused and committed to his career. Although he does his best in interacting with his Twitter fans, he does not disclose information about his personal life.
