While she holds American and French nationalities, she is of French ethnic extraction from her father’s side and of German, Danish, and American ethnicity from her mother’s side, according to the genealogy website, Geni.com.

At the time of her birth, her father, who became a global sensation in the Wrestling business under the name ‘Andre the Giant’, was at the height of his success, being one of the highest-paid wrestlers in the world. Because of his very busy schedule, Robin hardly got to see him when she was growing up. In fact, she got to see him only 5 times.

She was raised in the United States by her mother who was never married to Andre. Details surrounding her childhood and her education are ukknown.

More to the conflicting story about her parents, while there are reports that claim her parents were never married, there are others that claim they got married but they did not make it official in the United States.
