Mitchel Cave Enrolled in Music Classes at Age 7 and Formed His First Band at Age 11
Mitchel, in an interview, revealed that he did not have a music background as he grew up in an environment that had little music exposure. However, this did not stop him as he began pursuing music at a tender age. Mitchel’s parents enrolled him in guitar classes when he was only 7, and at 11, he joined a band named The Collective.
He was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, and in 2012, they released their extended play, ranking #2 on the ARIA Charts. Two years later, the band released their second (EP) only to disband the same year.
Following the dissolution of the first band Mitchel Cave joined, he decided to pursue a solo music career. Alongside his brother Clinton, Mitchel enlisted a childhood friend named Christian Anthony, and together, they made teen music. With the favorable responses their songs received, the trio decided to make it official, and in 2011, they created the band Chase Atlantic.
The band started as a university project and eventually gained online recognition, with the Madden Brothers, Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte, loving their talent and subsequently signing them to their MDDN group in early 2016. But before then, Mitchel Cave attained a new height of fame via the X-Factor.
