Yul, who is also a successful actor like his father, Pete Edochie, took to his Twitter page to reveal his ambition and upload his campaign poster. He, however, did not disclose the political party he intends to use as a platform.
He also stated that Anambra, “needs a new brand of leaders, who will put the masses first.”
“My name is Yul Edochie. And I’m running for Governor of Anambra State. 2017 #TheLastbusStop”.
He shared the same photo a second time, this time with the caption:
“We need a new brand of Leaders who will put the masses first, the older ones have failed us…They have come to THE LAST BUS STOP!!!”

Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie, popularly known as Yul Edochie, was born on 7 January 1982 and is also a successful actor in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood. Yul, the last of six children, was raised both in Lagos and Enugu.
He joined Nollywood in 2005 in his first film titled “The Exquires” alongside the Late Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. He got his break in 2007 after featuring in the movie “Wind of Glory” alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.
Yul Edochie got married to his wife in 2004, at a very young age of 22, after dating for six years. The star actor started dating his wife, May Aligwe, when he gained admission in the University of Port Harcourt and although he had nothing to offer at the time, she agreed to settle down with him, today, the couple is blessed with three children- two boys and a girl- and are living a comfortable life.
