She was born on 30th August 2005 to her parents, who reside in Ogun State. Faith received good support from her family, especially her parents, during the competition. In an interview, Faith revealed that her mathematical skills were inherited from her father, who is a medical doctor. Her mother is a businesswoman, and together, they support Faith with helpful tips and pieces of advice.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>She Attended The Ambassadors Schools<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The mathematics prodigy had her early childhood education at Ogun State. For her secondary school, she attended The Ambassadors Schools, Ota, Ogun State. She was in her SS3 in 2021 when she participated in the Global Open Mathematics Tournament and emerged as the winner. In an interview, she said that her achievement brought many new students to her school. Also, she hinted that she loves ICT and would like to study Computer Engineering at the university.<\/p>\n<p>Faith also revealed that she would like to attend a university abroad, and she got a scholarship to study at any university of her choice in Nigeria. Faith, a student of The Ambassadors Schools in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, scored 40 and won with a margin of 30 points in the competition, which was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Since winning the competition, Faith has become a sensation and has been featured in local and international news. She has been praised by many, including the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, who gave her a cash prize of N1 million and a scholarship to study at any university of her choice in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Before the Global Open Mathematics Tournament, Faith Had Participated in Other Competitions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>She participated in and won the Maltina Mathematics competition in 2018. Also, in 2019, she answered 19 questions in 60 seconds at the Cowbellpedia Mathematics competition and finished as a semifinalist. In her interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/how-i-defeated-uk-us-chinese-pupils-others-at-global-maths-competition-15-year-old-nigerian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Punch<\/a>, she listed other competitions she has participated in. Since she was in JSS2, she has participated in the National Olympiad.<\/p>\n<p>She has also competed in competitions sponsored by Kangourou Sans Frontieres, the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad, the South African Mathematics Olympiad, and the American Mathematics Competition. She was crowned as the Queen of Mathematics from JSS3 to SS2 for the National Olympiad.<\/p>\n<p>She won medals during the South African Mathematics Olympiad. At the 2019 Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad, Faith took home a silver medal and was appointed the school&#8217;s ambassador.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Where Is Faith Odunsi Now?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Faith has expressed her desire to study Computer Engineering in the future as she hopes to use her mathematical skills to make a difference in the world. However, at the moment, there is no information on which university she is now attending, whether in Nigeria or abroad.
