Iya Rainbow (Real Name: Esther Idowu Philips, Born on: 16 October 1942; Age: 81 years old) is a Nigerian veteran actress, movie producer, director, and healthcare assistant. She is best known for her roles in “Back to Africa” (1997), and “Lagidigba (2000).<\/strong><\/p>\n Iya Rainbow as she is popularly called is one of Nollywood’s biggest stars. Despite arguments and debates about the age of the industry, it has nevertheless groomed a good number of actors like Idowu Phillips who have gone on to become icons. With a career that spans over five decades, Idowu Phillips is still acting and advancing her career even as she ages graciously.<\/p>\n Mama Rainbow is presently 81 years old. She was born Esther Idowu on October 16th, 1942 in Odogbolu Ijebu in the popular town of Ijebu Ode, which is located in Ogun State, Nigeria.\u00a0 Iya Rainbow was raised in a Christian home with her father being recognized as a Prophet Jacob Adebanjo Ifemade of Cherubim and Seraphim Church.
