He is a Nigerian businessman and the head of Ibeto Group, the largest business enterprise in the city known for its entrepreneurial spirit, Nnewi.<\/p>\n<p>The 71-year-old Nnewi origin began his early life in business, serving as an apprentice to John Akamelu, an auto spare parts vendor in Onitsha, Anambra State. Cletus started learning trade following his father&#8217;s decision not to tour the part of academic learning.<\/p>\n<p>He was sent down to Onitsha for his apprenticeship program, after which he started his own spare parts importation with a focus on lead acid batteries and plastic motor accessories. He, however, took bolder steps in business in 1988 when he stopped direct importation and founded his own factory in the city of Nnewi.<\/p>\n<p>By 1995, his factory has become one of the largest spare parts manufacturing companies in Nigeria. In October 1996, he established Ibeto Petrochemical Limited, which is grossly involved in the blending of oil lubricants as well as the production of other types of petroleum products for local and international markets.<\/p>\n<p>Ibeto Petrochemical Ltd currently owns the largest liquid storage facility for petroleum products in Nigeria, with a capacity of more than 60,000 metric tonnes located at Ibru Jetty Complex Lagos and Apapa Wharf. With his vast knowledge of business merchandise, Cletus founded the cement company Ibeto Cement in 2001.
