Annie Macaulay-Idibia is a Nigerian actress, model, and presenter famously known as the wife of the Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba. <\/strong><\/p>\n Annie made a name for herself after a cameo appearance in the music video of 2Baba’s “African Queen”. Subsequently, she made appearances in many Nollywood movies and has once been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 2009. Despite having a happy marriage and life, she has not been able to avoid controversies. She has been constantly making headlines due to the many controversies around her.<\/p>\n Annie Macaulay-Idibia was born in Ibadan on November 13th, 1984. She is currently 39 years old and hails from Eket in Akwa Ibom State. Her father worked with Mobil, a renowned oil company in Nigeria, while her mother was a housewife. Her parents got divorced when she was 10 years old, and this led to a separation from their father.<\/p>\n Though much is not known about her father, he died in 2002 after reconciling with the actress and battling cancer. Annie grew up under the care of her mother after the divorce, alongside her brothers. It was revealed that her mother took up a job at Mobil as a cook after the divorce to be able to fend for her kids. After some time, her family relocated to Jakande Estate before moving on to Thomas Estate in Lekki, Lagos State.<\/p>\n At a young age, Annie started helping her mother out with solving financial issues as she engaged in menial jobs. She grew up alongside her two older brothers under the care of her mother. At the age of 15, she lost her younger brother, Emmanuel Macaulay, who was 13 at the time, to tuberculosis.
