Wizkid Wins Big At 2017 BET Awards + Full List Of Winners


Nigerian star boy, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has won the highly coveted “Best International Act: Africa” at the 2017 BET Awards.

This is the second straight time the former EME star will be winning the BET Awards  for “Best International Act: Africa.”

The singer was announced the winner on Saturday in Los Angeles, US after beating four other Nigerian artistes — Davido, Mr. Eazi, and Tekno to the prize.

Other African contemporaries were AKA (South Africa), Babes Wodumo (South Africa), Nasty C (South Africa).

This year’s nomination is the first for both Tekno and Mr. Eazi who has put in impressive singles in 2016.

Wizkid had also won 3 awards at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards which held at the TMobile Arena in Las Vegas, United States in May 2017. His wins came from his collaboration with Drake & Kyla on last year’s One Dance.
