Chisom Hails from a Family of Actors

Chisom’s venture into Nollywood is not surprising as her mother and siblings are apparently known personalities in the movie industry. The budding actress is the seventh of her parents’ eight children. Among her siblings who are also into acting include Faith Steve and her only brother Osita Jack Kellyflash.

Her mother, Joy Ego Steve, is a movie producer, actress, and director. She was born on August 4, 1987, and she owns and runs a production company known as JES Imagination.

She Started Acting  in 2013

Chisom Steve started off as a child actress. Her emergence in the film industry was with much ease owing to the fact that her family members are already into acting. Though this might not have given her direct access to the top, it definitely created some sort of guidance to aid her career as an actress unlike those who do not have parents or siblings in the movie industry.

Chisom made her debut in the movie “Chizam The Barrow Pusher” where she played the role of a tomboy. Following the experience she had gathered from actors around her, she has been able to lead an impressive career. Some of the movies she starred in as a rookie include ‘Save a Life’, a movie by Joy Steve, and “The Children” by Vincent D Anointed.

In 2017, Chisom received an award as the most promising actress for her role in the movie ‘Akuko Uwa’. She received the award at that year’s Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) show.

Is Chisom Steve Married or Single?

25-year-old Chisom Steve is currently not married to anyone and there are no details of her being engaged to any man. The young actress seems to be more focused on her acting and modeling career even as she juggles it with her academics.

Meanwhile, there have been rumors that the elegant actress is engaged and even married to a popular child actor Somadina Adinma. The rumor began to make the rounds following a picture Chisom posted on her Instagram page where she was wearing an engagement ring.

This was followed by a picture of her sitting with Somadina in a position that suggests they are in a relationship. Unfortunately, neither of the actors has cleared the air on their said relationship. However, some media reports have it that they are dating.

Somadina who is famous for his role in Nollywood films like ‘Ordinary Fellows”, “Breath of Anger”, and “Forest of Promises”, hails from Anambra state and has been in the movie industry since he was eight.  The 24-year-old actor was earlier rumored to be in a relationship with his childhood friend and actress Regina Daniels, but both debunked the rumor and the controversies surrounding them were put to rest after Regina married a famous lawyer and politician, Ned Nwoko.

Both Chisom and Somadina have worked together on the set of some Nigerian films. In fact, a recent movie titled ” A Scar from Yesterday” has Chisom on set with Somadinna and Regina.

In a recent one-on-one with Potpourri, Chisom aired her thoughts on sex, relationship, marriage, and sexiness. She described sex as a “sacred and spiritual” activity that should only be engaged by married couples. When it comes to relationships she said, it must be decent.

Being sexy is a compliment and yes, a woman ought to be proud of her body, the young actress added. Chisom’s comment has, however, been interpreted by many to mean that she may still be a fresh, untapped item when it comes to sexual matters.
