Destiny Etiko’s father is the late John Anonde Etiko, who, unfortunately, died on 15th May 2020. Mr. Etiko hails from Eke in Udi Local Government, Enugu state, Southeast Nigeria. The exact date of birth of Destiny Etiko’s father is not given, but it is said that he was born in 1950, and as of the time of his death, he was 70 years of age.
While not much has been revealed about Mr. John Etiko’s job prior to his death, his actress daughter once revealed that her father worked as a headmaster and as a treasurer for a firm where he was accused of theft after the money he was asked to take to the bank was stolen by armed robbers who attacked him on his way. He was then asked to pay the undisclosed amount, which he did, and it greatly affected them financially.
Mr. Etiko was supportive of his daughter’s venture into the movie industry. Besides Destiny, he fathered four other children – three boys, one of which is named Sopuru, and a daughter.

Destiny Etiko’s mother is Mrs. Eucharia Etiko. She is a former Nigerian actress best known for her roles in Nigerian movies like Never End, Lion Finger, and Bless My Soul. Eucharia Etiko joined the film industry in 2004, and though she never had the chance to play major roles, she contributed immensely to the industry’s growth, with her acting career extending for about three and a half years.
Eucharia later sacrificed her career to dedicate her time to the family, and her husband, Mr. Etiko, opened a shop for her where she made sales and took care of her family as well. Who is Destiny Etiko’s Adopted Daughter?
The 34 years old self-claimed Nollywood Dramadoll adopted Chinenye Eucharia Anibueze after her unashamed display of love and admiration for the actress during one of the actress’ visits to her locality in Anambra State.
Now a fast-rising actress, Chinenye Eucharia was brought to the limelight by her foster mother, Destiny Etiko. Bringing her dreams to reality, Chinenye made her first movie appearance in 2021 when she played a role in the movie “The Cab Ladies.” The young actress has appeared in several other Nollywood movies, mostly produced by her thespian mother.
