In the same post, she revealed that she would love to explore the opportunity to get to meet her biological family when she becomes an adult at 18.<\/p>\n<p>However, by the time she hit 18, Ella seemed to have lost interest in knowing about her family, though the urge re-surfaced at age 21. When she eventually launched the search, Ella got a lot of help from her adoptive mother, Jan.<\/p>\n<p>Around that time, the obituary of her biological mother surfaced on the internet space, and in the content, Ella got to know that she had two children \u2013 a boy and a girl. She considered it a bad time to reach out to her half-siblings since they were still grieving.<\/p>\n<p>While the lockdown orchestrated by the coronavirus pandemic was still on, Ella Dorsey used the opportunity to contact a biotechnology firm called 23andme. The company works by extracting DNA from a saliva sample, which generates accurate reports relating to people\u2019s ancestry. When Ella\u2019s results came through, it revealed the names of her half-sister and half-brother, and it had the option of reaching out.<\/p>\n<p>While she was still contemplating, the decision was taken out of Ella\u2019s hands when her half-sister Emma reached out to her. According to Emma, she has been engaged in the search for Ella for many years, and she did the same test the previous year with the hope of getting positive results.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, both Emma and Ella\u2019s half-brother Noah went down to Atlanta to see her, and the family spent quality time getting to know each other.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ella Dorsey\u2019s Education and Academic Pursuit<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Growing up in her place of birth, Maryland, Ella Dorsey achieved her earliest academic qualifications in that region. However, when the time came for her to go for higher studies, she joined the University of Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>At the university, Ella studied Geography and Atmospheric Sciences, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor&#8217;s degree. Important to note that The University of Georgia alum graduated cum laude. Three years later, in March 2016, she was bestowed with the highest honor for on-air meteorologists; Ella became a CBM (certified broadcast meteorologist).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What Does Ella Dorsey Do for a Living?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ella works and earns a living as a certified meteorologist. Since she turned four, Dorsey has been passionate about weather. This interest was triggered when little Ella received a Discovery Channel VCR with the title Tornado, Hurricane Flood as a gift from her adoptive father. Thus, it was no surprise that she chose to study geography and atmospheric science at the university level.<\/p>\n<p>Upon her graduation from the university, the certified meteorologist landed her first job at WBIR-TV \u2013 an affiliate of NBC. She commenced work with the media outlet in January 2014 at their office located in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States, and was appearing on their midday and weekend newscasts. During her time with the media house, she covered a plethora of natural occurrences, from tornadoes to ice storms and snow.<\/p>\n<p>Exactly two years later, in January 2016, Ella left WBIR-TV to join CBS\u2019s affiliate, Atlanta News First \/CBS46 (WGCL-TV\/CBS46). This time around, Ella\u2019s office was located in Atlanta, Georgia, and she resumed on the 27th of January 2016 as a weekend meteorologist.
