Her first and second adoptive children, David Banda and Mercy James, also came from the same country.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Estere Ciccone&#8217;s Father Denied Giving His Daughters To Madonna Permanently<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In February 2017, following Madonna\u2019s announcement that she had successfully completed adoption procedures for Estere Ciccone and her twin sister, rumors started making the rounds that the girls&#8217; biological father, Mr. Adam Mwale, didn\u2019t understand exactly what transpired during the process for adoption.<\/p>\n<p>Daily Mail went to interview the peasant farmer to confirm. When quizzed, Mr. Adam said he never realized that Madonna was taking his daughters away permanently. The reps also told him Madonna would love to take them back with her to the United States and, after putting them through school, would bring them back home to Malawi. When quizzed on his reason for consenting, the Malawian farmer said he saw it as a wonderful opportunity for Estere and Stella.<\/p>\n<p>There was subsequently a court hearing on the case, and Madonna&#8217;s legal team put the blame on Adam for abandoning the twins after the death of their mother. The locals obviously agree with Madonna\u2019s team as they also blamed their kinsman for the same reasons. A few others, however pointed out that the process was flawed because the Malawian government gave Madonna a special exception to laws that would otherwise thwart the efforts of non-residents from adopting kids to take abroad.<\/p>\n<p>In Mwale&#8217;s defense, the farmer said he was the one who took the girls to the orphanage and never abandoned them.
