T D Jakes is a prominent pastor, author, and filmmaker who is well-known for his teachings on spiritual and personal growth. He is the founder of The Potter’s House, a megachurch in Dallas, Texas. Jakes has been married to his wife, Serita Jakes, since 1981. T D Jakes and Serita Jakes met while attending high school in West Virginia.<\/p>\n

They started dating when they were in college, and after several years, they got married on May 29, 1982. At the time that he got married, T D Jakes was 23 years old and was not yet famous. He had just started his ministry and was still working as a part-time insurance salesman to support his family. However, he was already known in the local community for his powerful preaching and charismatic personality.<\/p>\n
