As a result of his excellence in the art of directing, Sidney has been described as a master of cinema.<\/p>\n<p>Sidney was born on June 25, 1924, to his parents who were veterans of The Yiddish Art Theater, and from whom he seemed to have inherited mastery in movie production. In the early days of his career in the 1930s, Sidney acted in many Broadway shows.
