For years, the reason behind the end of their marriage was not known to the public, but that changed in April 2011 when Tulsi issued a statement about the failed marriage.<\/p>\n<p>She related that she had kept the Tamayo name after the divorce because she hoped she and Eduardo might work things out in the future. Adding that she had come to realize that that wouldn&#8217;t happen, Tulsi stated that she and Eduardo were still friends.<\/p>\n<p>Based on what the politician shared, they divorced shortly after she returned from an 18-month Iraq deployment with the Hawaii Army National Guard. According to her, the deployment was very hard on Eduardo and their union. He only became known as a result of his marriage to the famous American politician. Since the marriage has packed up, it is hard for anyone to keep up with him. He has lived his life away from the limelight, ensuring he doesn&#8217;t give away any significant information about his existence.<\/p>\n<p>It is not known if he has remarried since the divorce, but his ex-wife Tulsi Gabbard got married a second time in 2015 to Abraham Williams.
