Despite rumors making the rounds that the Hollywood legend separated from Charlotte Samco at some point, she was the wife who stayed beside him until the day he died on April 29, 2021. Besides, there was no rumor about a divorce attached to their union.
In her statement after his death she wrote: “It was a real blessing for me to be there at his passing. Johnny was not breathing well and suddenly he just stopped. It was 6:34 p.m. on Thursday, April 29th. It was quiet and simple. I am relieved that he is not battling that dreadful disease any longer.”
This confirms that they were still married and living together at the time of his death. Crawford died at the age of 75 after battling the deadly Alzheimer’s disease.
