His task was to either handle the job or bring someone who could do it, and so he brought in another man, Orazio Cicala, whose job was to serve as the getaway driver. For the task at hand, Regianni was said to have paid the men as much as 600 million lire which is said to be the equivalence of around $700,000 today.

On March 27, 1995, the act was carried out, and Alessandra’s father was shot dead. She was 19 years old when her father was killed. Two years later, those involved in the deed were arrested, and to the shock of many, Regianni was also arrested for her involvement. She was found guilty and was sentenced to 29 years behind bars. However, in 2014, after only 16 years, she was released because of what was described as good behavior.
