Uche Ogbodo is a Native of Enugu State

The Nollywood diva was born on the 17th of May 1986 into a middle-class family in Enugu, Nigeria and is currently 37 years old. She is of Igbo descent, precisely from Enugu State in the eastern part of Nigeria. The second child of her parents, Mr. Godwin Ogbodo and Mrs. Ada Luisa Ogbodo, Uche has four siblings.

Nothing much is known about her family background and upbringing but from what is gathered, Uche spent most of her early and teenage years under the care of her parents in her hometown in Enugu where she also received her primary and secondary education. After that, she proceeded to the prestigious University of Nigeria (UNN) and bagged a degree in Banking and Finance.

She Started Acting at the Age of 19

According to Uche Ogbodo, she never dreamt of becoming an actress. However, her acting career was influenced by her father who decided to register her in the Actors Guild of Nigeria in Enugu State in 2005. Following that, she started attending movie auditions. She got her first role in 2006 in the movie Another bondage, which first introduced her to the public. She went on to get more roles in different films, although they were mostly supporting roles. Uche Ogbodo is an Award-Winning Actress

One of the most versatile actresses in the Nigerian film industry, Uche Ogbodo has been rewarded for her successful works and contribution towards the growth of Nollywood. In 2013, she won an award for Spotless Actress of the Year from Godfrey Okoye University. She won Fashion Icon of The Year at the 2015 Fashion Icon Awards, her most notable award yet.

Uche Ogbodo also has in her credit, a City People Entertainment Award which she won for her role in Mummy Why (2015), and an Icon Award for the Most Outstanding Nollywood Actress (2018).

Uche Ogbodo is Currently Not Married But Has Two Children

Rumors have it that Uche Ogbodo got married in 2013 to one Mr. Apo Arthur, a Norway-based football agent and the marriage produced her daughter, Mildred, whom she birthed in 2014. Sadly, the onetime lovebirds fell out of love and went their separate ways just after one month of being together. However, the actress had in an interview with Vanguard clearly stated that she has never been officially married before.

The 37-year-old screen queen revealed that she didn’t do any court wedding, white wedding, or traditional marriages with her ex, Apo. Rather, she said that before they started living together, Apo did some of the processes of getting married in her culture which she tagged marital rites.

Responding to why they went their separate ways just after a month, Uche simply said that the marriage was full of lies and that she cannot go into details about what those lies were. She also cited societal influence as the cause of their separation.

She is Currently in a Relationship With Bobby Maris With Whom She Shares Her Second Baby

Since her supposed marriage with Apo ended in 2013, Uche Ogbodo seemed to have been taking it on the low side in terms of her love and relationship life. However, in early 2021, she announced that she was pregnant with her second child and as well opened up about her newfound love, Bobby Maris, who also happens to be the father of her then-unborn baby.

On the heels of this revelation, trolls dragged her into the mud on social media as rumors and reports had it that the man is a teenager and slammed her for getting involved with a minor. However, Uche debunked this news in a live session she had on her Instagram page.

Although it is not known exactly how old Bobby is, Uche Ogbodo disclosed that he is above 25 as of 2021 and so is not a minor but a full-grown man. In the session, Uche also noted that she had in the past dated men who are way older than her without finding happiness. Hence, she decided to try with a younger person and on the contrary, she is getting just the peace and happiness she had long desired.

Bobby Maris whose real name if Florentus Ifeanyi Ugwoegbu is a fast-rising Nigerian singer and songwriter. Bobby only came to the limelight after actress Uche revealed him as her baby daddy and lover. He is still building up his music career and so nothing much is known about him.
