For secondary school, the young man attended Federal Government College Ogwolawo, Kogi State, before gaining admission to attend the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Why Was His Instagram Deactivated?

Tunde Ednut’s Instagram page was deactivated following posts that he made that violated Instagram guidelines. Some of these posts include those that qualify as cyberbullying, body-shaming, and degrading women among various other spamming activities.

Instagram deactivated Ednut’s first account for spam on Tuesday, 22nd of December, 2020. On the 10th of January 2021, he opened another account with the username kingtundeednut. Upon attaining a million followers, he gave away a million naira to some of his lucky followers. Shortly after the giveaway, on the 13th of January, 2021, this second account was deactivated by Instagram for reasons unknown to the public.

Currently, he has opened a new Instagram account with the name mufasatundeednut; it has just above 500,000 followers. This was a backup account he created after the first was deactivated. Following the second deactivation of his account, Tunde took to this backup account. He also has another account with the name mazitundeednut, which is a backup account to mufasatundeednut.

A Few Controversies About Ednut

Tunde Ednut is known to have some squabbles with some celebrities, including Bobrisky, Tonto Dikeh, and Wizkid, among many others. Most of these misunderstandings are bordered on body-shaming, public display of hatred, and insulting posts made by Tunde on social media.

In 2016, Tunde was accused by music producer Shizzi of stealing lyrical and instrumental content made for Wande Coal. According to Wande’s representative, Tunde heard the unreleased song on his visit to Wande Coal’s studio, only to go back and reproduce part of the lyrics with another producer leading to the birth of the song “Kosowo”. Legal action was subsequently taken against him by Shizzi to take down the song and video.

Another controversial moment was when Ednut released the music video for his song “Buga Won”. His video contains a scene showing sun-tortured men buried under the beach sand while Tunde was covered with water in a bathtub filled with water. When asked in an interview, he defended himself by saying that he expected the reaction and intended to use it to gain popularity.

Food blogger, Maste Uwatse, has also accused Tunde of stealing her content (photo) on Instagram without crediting the photo to her. This led her to report his page and Instagram took down the photo. Maste has further also accused Tunde of bullying and not being able to credit content to their owners.
