She studied at Nottingham Trent University, where she got a degree in Management and International Strategic Enterprise. She studied International Fashion in her M.SC. This could explain why she owns a fashion business.

Currently 29 years old Jackie Bent, also known as Jackie B, has become a successful Nigerian interior decorator, media personality, and certified wedding and event planner. She has a fashion outfit called Lureino Bent, located in Abuja. She started this outfit in December 2018, when she was 26. The lady also has an event planning and management company, which is called Jackie Bent Signature.

As far as popularity is concerned, she is already more popular than her mother, but for success, she’s not come close. However, she’s only 29 years old; therefore, she still has a lot of time to be successful and outdo her mother, if that’s what she wants.

She Got Pregnant with Her First Son at the Age of 18

While she was there (in the U.K.), BBNaija Jackie B had her first child. This makes her the only single mother on the BBN Season 6 show. She hasn’t allowed her child to stop her, with Big Brother Naija being her latest attempt to better her fortune and that of her family. When she got pregnant with Nathan, she was just 18, and according to her, she had just had sex for the first time. Has she had sex since after then? Well, she’s never said, but then again, your guess is as good as ours.

She dotes over her son; she says he’s her best friend and means the world to her. Jackie B gave birth to the young man at 19. During the pregnancy, which was very challenging, her mum helped and supported her. Of course, her mom, just like every other mom, was disappointed that her 18-year-old child was pregnant. However, it didn’t stop her from showing her motherly care.

BBNaija Jackie B never loses any opportunity to tell her how much she loves her mother. On Mother’s Day and also Mrs. Bent’s birthday, Jackie B always celebrates her. At the moment, Jackie B is looking for love. She told season 6 BBNaija Pere, her fellow housemate, that she’s looking to find love again. According to Jackie B, she’s only been in love once. She’s been in several relationships, though, but she just hasn’t been able to fall in love since her first. Now, this is not unrelated to her past experiences. But as she recounted to Pere, she’s ready to go all out to fall in love.

Meet Her Mother, Grace Folashade Bent

Jackie B is the daughter of Grace Folashade Bent, a former senator during the 2007 to 2011 session, and she represented Adamawa South constituency in Adamawa State. She studied English and literary studies at the University of Calabar for her first degree. For her second degree, she got a degree in Political science from the same university and a Ph.D. in Public Administration.

Mrs. Bent, nee Makinwa, is from Osun State, while her husband is from Adamawa State. This actually caused a rift she had with Barr. A. T Shehu, who was the State’s PDP chairman. He called her a non-indigene of the state; well, she wouldn’t have it, and therefore, called him out on it. When she won the senatorial seat in 2007, she was quite celebrated, a Yoruba woman representing Adamawa State.

She contested for the second term and lost to Ahmed Hassan Barata in the primaries. In some quarters, some think it’s not unconnected to the fact that she’s a female and not from the state by birth. She felt that she was maltreated and took the case to court. In the end, she lost. Senator Bent is no longer a member of PDP. She is currently a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress, making her the first female senator from Adamawa to decamp to APC.

She was formerly a member of PDP before she defected to the ruling All Progressive Congress. However, she’s not been back in the house since her defection. Now, of course, Jackie B didn’t say anything about her mother being a former senator or even a politician. However, the news has broken that she is Jackie Bent, and she has come under criticism.

For Jackie B’s father, almost nothing is known about him. The only thing we know about him is that he has at least 12 children.

Why was Jackie B Criticised For Being on BBN?

Certain Nigerians, especially the older generation, think of BBN as an immoral show. Hence, they have a negative perception of those who take part, both actors and spectators. Due to this fact, Jackie B has come under a lot of harsh criticisms. Her mom’s popularity has also exacerbated it. Since her mum is a politician and a former senator, it is expected by some that they have spick and span lives.

However, this has not fazed BBNaija Jackie B in one bit. In fact, she got the vote of Chief Femi Fani Kayode, who used to be the aviation minister during Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure. He’s called Jackie’s mother, a dear sister, and a friend. FFK is a member of the People’s Democratic Party, of which Senator Bent was once a member.
