Chidinma and her siblings were raised by their mother as their father passed away when she was just two years old. Her mother later remarried and raised them in the African and Christian way of life. While Chidinma later stayed away from her family, it is said that the rest of her siblings lived together with their mother in the Mowe area of Ogun State.

Chioma Ojukwu’s Real Name is Chidinma Blessing Echefu

While many have come to know her as Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu, sources have revealed that the 300-level student of the University of Lagos is actually named Chidinma Blessing Echefu. It is said that the 24 year-old prime suspect in the murder saga disowned her family due to some misunderstanding she had with her mother.

One of the major steps she took to disassociate herself from her family was to change her original name from Chidinma Blessing Echefu to Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu. The relationship between Chioma and her mother was not so cordial as Chioma became rebellious. She was even alleged to have been discovered to be smoking when she was barely 11 years.

This provoked her mother, who then sent her to live with her uncle in Mushin. She was later kicked out by her uncle, who could not condone her rebellious acts. It was at this point that she met Onoh Ojukwu, who took her into his home in Yaba. Her sister Chioma further revealed that Ojukwu was in no way related to her family.

In one of their meetings, she recollected that she made a call for Marijuana and another drug called Rohypnol- a tablet she said could easily knock out whoever uses it. This, according to her, was brought to their apartment.

After smoking, the deceased asked for more sex, which she denied him. This led to a heated argument, with Usifo allegedly knocking her head against a stool that had a glass. Sustaining head and knee injuries, Dinma managed to lay her hands on a kitchen knife with which she used to stab the deceased in the neck twice. She confessed that she stabbed him severally without counting, and the deceased eventually fell to the floor in the room.
